Comedian Sarah Silverman's New Musical Opens at Arena Stage
Sarah Silverman's musical, "The Bedwetter," based on her 2010 memoir, has premiered at Arena Stage. The production delves into Silverman's experiences as a 10-year-old grappling with bedwetting, her parents' divorce, and the challenges of a new school.
The musical offers a candid and humorous portrayal of these formative years, highlighting themes of resilience and self-discovery. Directed by Tony nominee Anne Kauffman, the show features music by the late Adam Schlesinger, with additional contributions from David Yazbek.
Two-time Tony Award nominee Shoshana Bean stars as Sarah's mother, Beth Ann, bringing depth to the family's dynamic.
Performances are scheduled from February 4 through March 16, 2025, at the Kreeger Theater in Washington, D.C. Tickets are currently on sale, offering audiences an opportunity to experience this heartfelt and comedic journey.
