Educating the dangers of antisemitism beyond the classroom

Courage to Care, an organisation founded by Holocaust survivors, is dedicated to educating Australian students about the perils of antisemitism and racism. Approximately 80% of its programs are conducted outside Sydney, reaching areas where exposure to Jewish culture is minimal.

The initiative emphasises the importance of becoming "Upstanders"—individuals who actively oppose discrimination. By sharing lessons from the Holocaust, Courage to Care aims to foster social cohesion and counter ignorance, highlighting the relevance of historical events in contemporary society.
